Ensure security system is working properly if applicable
Check the thermostat & humidistat are set properly
Test smoke alarms periodically for proper working order
Flush & brush toilets run water in sinks, tubs & showers. Run water in disposal and check for leaks
Verify refrigerator and freezer are operational
Check for possible water damage near water appliances
Check for size of AC filters at initial visit
Check electrical panel for tripped breakers - reset if needed
Take a few pictures of unit including your thermostat with date and time
